Ben has been an owner and Managing Director of a manufacturing business with £10m turnover and held an Operations Director role, with responsibility across commercial strategy, operations, multidisciplinary teams and organisational change.
He holds an engineering degree and brings 15 years of experience in education and manufacturing, including 10 years in executive leadership. His experience includes navigating difficult trading conditions, a business sale and the challenges of bringing businesses together afterwards.
Through the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and his own hands-on experimentation, Ben has learnt to apply AI across different businesses. He is also an accredited ISO/IEC 42001 implementer and auditor, covering the international standard for AI management systems.

An engineer and systems thinker, he sees how the parts of a business fit together and brings people, processes and tools together to make everyday work simpler. His teaching background helps people understand the changes and use the tools with confidence.

Ben’s business coaching focuses on performance improvement, resilience and growth for solo owner-managers, leaders and founders. He starts with the business plan, connects AI strategy to clear priorities and helps define a pilot, implement it and scale what works. Return on investment stays in view, with agreed measures for time released, actual cost savings and additional gross profit, assessed against delivery and running costs.
Responsible AI, with Ben leading the work
Governance, compliance considerations and training run through that work, with clear responsibilities and human oversight. Ben also provides ongoing advice on technological developments, what they mean for the business and where automation can improve the way people work.
For founders building AI-native organisations, he helps design roles, workflows and systems in which people and AI agents work together from the outset. He supports established businesses exploring the same approach, keeping business value and accountability at the centre.
Ben leads the work and remains accountable throughout, bringing in specialists as needed in cybersecurity, AI system design and development, legal matters and other relevant areas.
