Data & Systems Audit
We map your data landscape, evaluate your existing systems, and identify the highest-impact opportunities for AI — so every decision from here is grounded in reality, not guesswork.
Weeks 1–2
A focused audit that gives you clarity without disrupting your day-to-day operations.
What happens in the audit
We get under the hood of your business — looking at data sources, system integrations, manual processes, and team workflows — to build a clear, honest picture of where you are and where AI can make a real difference.
What Aptimate Does
- ● Map all data sources, formats, and volumes
- ● Assess data quality, completeness, and accessibility
- ● Review existing systems and integration points
- ● Interview key stakeholders to understand workflows
- ● Identify quick wins and high-impact automation targets
- ● Produce a prioritised opportunity report
What You Provide
- ● Access to relevant systems (read-only is fine)
- ● 2–3 hours of stakeholder time across the fortnight
- ● Sample data or documents (anonymised if needed)
- ● A point of contact for questions
You don't need to prepare your data or clean anything up first. We take it as-is — that's the whole point of the audit.
Deliverables
- ● Data landscape map — every source, format, and connection visualised
- ● Quality assessment — data completeness, accuracy, and readiness scores
- ● Opportunity report — prioritised list of AI/automation candidates with estimated ROI
- ● Risk register — potential blockers, data gaps, and compliance considerations
- ● Recommended next steps — clear path into Phase 2 with effort estimates
Common questions
Do we need to prepare our data first?
No. The whole point of the audit is to assess your data as it actually exists — messy spreadsheets, legacy databases, manual processes and all. We've seen it all before. Don't waste time cleaning things up; that's our job to evaluate and recommend.
How disruptive is the audit?
Barely noticeable. We need read-only access to your systems and a few hours of stakeholder time spread across two weeks. We work around your schedule, not the other way around. Your team keeps doing their jobs as normal.
What if our systems are old or legacy?
That's actually pretty common — and it's not a blocker. Many of our best results come from organisations running older systems, because the gap between what they have and what's possible is huge. We'll find integration points that work with your existing stack, not against it.
